Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NKJV)
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
The word “eternity” as used in the verse above translates the Hebrew noun “olam” which contextually refers to “ancient times.” That is, God has put in men’s hearts the knowledge and understanding of things past. However, this knowledge is yet limited as man is ever in search for more understanding of God’s plans and purposes.
